Although October will be infamous for events off the pitch, there was still plenty of action to be seen on it.
Nine goals for the Brakes, well contested games at Hednesford Town and home to Didcot Town, but the best result was a good home win against Brackley Town.

So what's he up to now?

The latest from Phillip (aka IJ Multi-Linear) - see Mam-Mooth Productions.

His humorous ‘performances’ are in fact mimes on various instruments unrelated to the computer-based creation of his sample driven music. Through this strategy Multi-Linear both indulges and denounces the vanity of the ‘live’.

Bello opens the Brakes account @ Farnborough

The Brakes open their account in the Zamaretto Suothern League Premier Division by going ahead against pre-season favourited Farnborough, when Mark Bellingham latched on to a through ball and calmly slotted it past the 'Boro keeper in the 30th minute - to the delight of the travelling Brakes fans.

Bury Town away - goal clips

I struggled all evening with the focus due to the low lights spooking the camera, although the cider may have also been a contributing factor!

Here's Chris Murphy's wonder goal - unintentionally given the soft focus treatment to make it 1-1:

Bello's goal put the Brakes into the lead at 2-1:

Vidcam back from repair

Cost a bit more than the estimate, but after testing in "match rig" looks like all systems go, a good timely repair with the dud blue CCD as a souvenir.

Vidcam repair update

Thanks for the offers to help from various quarters, I've just got the estimate @ £224.26 +/- 10%, so will get it done then we can sort it after.

Camcorder problems

After I posted on the Chesham post about the video camcorder developing a fault a few concerned fans have wondered how the cost of repairs could be met and where the Supporters' Club figures in this.
When the videos was handed over to LFCSC by me and Phillip it was intended that it would be self-funding, and so it is in terms of tapes, DVDs and ink; so there is a case for some of the cost of repair to come out of the money raised - except that it has already gone elsewhere like the terrace fund.
In any case it's my camera so I'd feel a bit cheeky if its repair costs were paid by fans' money - perhaps a contribution would be fair.
Let's wait and see what the real cost is, the repair bloke will let me know and whether there is any chance of a recall contribution from Panasonic. He's a good bloke and does sub-contract warranty work for them so you never know. It might only be a loose or broken cable.
Meanwhile I've got another vidcam on temporary loan from a mate at work, who, despite being an egg chaser and snotball whacker, is another good bloke!

Chesham United (away) goal clips

The trusty video camcorder developed a fault while setting up, it appears to have got one of its charge coupled devices in bit of a twist - initial estimates suggest that it could cost upto 300 quid to fix.
I did a bit of tedius colour correction but the clips might be a bit off colour, check this intro for a before and after comparism:

Oh, and this is bit of a pain, I wish they'd wait until the end of the season.
