Camcorder problems

After I posted on the Chesham post about the video camcorder developing a fault a few concerned fans have wondered how the cost of repairs could be met and where the Supporters' Club figures in this.
When the videos was handed over to LFCSC by me and Phillip it was intended that it would be self-funding, and so it is in terms of tapes, DVDs and ink; so there is a case for some of the cost of repair to come out of the money raised - except that it has already gone elsewhere like the terrace fund.
In any case it's my camera so I'd feel a bit cheeky if its repair costs were paid by fans' money - perhaps a contribution would be fair.
Let's wait and see what the real cost is, the repair bloke will let me know and whether there is any chance of a recall contribution from Panasonic. He's a good bloke and does sub-contract warranty work for them so you never know. It might only be a loose or broken cable.
Meanwhile I've got another vidcam on temporary loan from a mate at work, who, despite being an egg chaser and snotball whacker, is another good bloke!
